Job Seekers' Frequent Complaint -"Can't Find Out About Startups, New Ventures" - Recent ITS Survey
Thousands of job seekers visit our websites each month, many of them to take advantage of the free services they can get there, including a free resume analysis and a comparison of how they stack up to their competition in more than 200 different characteristics. In the course of helping them, ITS routinely asks them what their biggest complaints are about job seeking in general.
One of the most frequent complaints heard recently is directly related to the downturn in some older and more mature industries. Job seekers recognize that they can't count on these industries to create plenty of challenging jobs as they did in decades past. They understand they need to find out about startups and new ventures in several industries, as well as established rapid growth companies.
"We saw this coming a long time ago," said Dan Belger, Vice President of ITS in Denver. He continued, "Having heard that complaint frequently, about six years ago we started to develop some information databases, purchase others, and create our own proprietary system for identifying venture capital firms, new ventures and startups, along with other relevant information.
"So today it's not a problem for our clients, but it will remain a common complaint among the ranks of job seekers nationwide for some time to come. It took a long time and a lot of money to bring our capability to its current level."
ITS services address all of these issues for clients we serve.
