ITS Evaluates Job Seekers' Major Complaint About the Job Market
"It's too big. There is too much information to plow through. You can eat up a lot of time just searching for the positions that really apply to you."
Thousands of job seekers visit our websites very month, many of them to take advantage of the free services they can get there, including free resume analysis and a comparison of how they stack up to their competition in more than 200 different characteristics. In the course of helping them, ITS routinely asks them what they see as the biggest obstacle to finding a suitable job.
The comments above are typical, reflecting the frustration many job seekers feel when they are confronted with the results of the "information explosion" in the job market. People complain that they wind up spending way too much time sorting things out and navigating their way around complex websites that aren't as user-friendly as they might be. Others complain that there are too many different sources to effectively scour all of them, so they are afraid they might be missing a lot of good opportunities.
That's one reason why ITS developed "Advertised Market Super Search" that lets job seekers view all advertised openings suitable for them nationwide with just one click on their private client website, and a similar device for jobs that are incubating in employer organizations, but not yet advertised or in the hands of a recruiter.
"If you listen to enough complaints from job seekers, you'll find an opportunity to address them in an innovative way," said Bob Gerberg, President of ITS.
ITS services address all of these issues for clients we serve.
